THE SCIENCE OF CONNECTION

Helping people understand how to build stronger connections.

Speaking & Presentations

Relationships make more sense when we understand what is happening underneath them. Drawing heavily from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and attachment science, Chip makes complex relationship dynamics understandable and immediately relevant to everyday life.

His presentations combine storytelling, research, humor, audience interaction, and practical tools people can take home and use.

Speaking Topics

Presentations can be adapted for churches, conferences, retreats, community organizations, ministry teams, and professional audiences.

The Secret Beneath a Connected Relationship

Why do some relationships feel safe and connected while others become trapped in conflict or distance? Discover the attachment needs underneath our reactions and how greater emotional accessibility, responsiveness, and engagement can transform relationships.

Breaking the Loop: Finding Joy Beyond Your Circumstances

We all carry beliefs about what will make life better and more joyful. But some beliefs quietly keep us stuck in loops in our relationships and lives. We'll challenge the most common assumptions about happiness and discover a more resilient path to joy and peace. (One that isn’t dependent on everything going right.)

What Husbands Wish They Could Say (and How to Invite Connection)

Believe it or not, most men long for closeness, but often don’t have the words to ask for it. This talk gives women an inside look at the emotional world of husbands, with practical tools to foster intimacy, curiosity, and healing.

The Surprising Keys to a Joy-Filled Life

Joy is more than a feeling. It is a way of engaging with life. In this uplifting and practical presentation, Chip explores the habits, relationships, perspectives, and choices that help us live with greater joy and purpose. We’ll look at how connection, gratitude, playfulness, resilience, and intentionality can transform not only how we experience our own lives, but also the lives of the people around us. Come ready to laugh, reflect, and leave with practical ways to put joy into action.

Secure Attachment, Sacred Connection: How to Foster Safe Relationships

Attachment science and Scripture agree: we were made for connection. This talk explores how God designed our nervous systems and relationships for bonding, and how understanding attachment helps us become more anchored, responsive, and loving in every role we carry.

Created for Connection is a faith-integrated couples program based on Emotionally Focused Therapy.

We help couples understand the emotional patterns that pull them apart and guide them through conversations designed to create greater security and intimacy.
